Lisa Marie Zanders' work engages with the democratization of urban processes and the critical appropriation of space. Her situated practice is grounded in the construction of situations, centering the everyday use, and the already existing. Alongside publications in the magazines Arch+ and Dérive, she co-published the book "Assembly of Micropolitics" with adocs in December 2025. She sharpens her curatorial practice in projects such as Kinderstadt Hamburg and Mikropol. In addition to her ongoing teaching as a acting professor at HafenCity University Hamburg and guest at institutions such as the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien and Hochschule Luzern, she conveys her design practice through workshops and seminars. On a theoretical level, she engages with a feminist perspective on elements of domesticity and translates this into artistic interventions in public space, such as the project "Ein Zimmer für dich" in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen. She is the co-founder of Planbude Hamburg and the transdisciplinary design studio Projektbuero.
